Toothless
From How To Train Your Dragon. Made him out of this weird not-sculpey and skin-colored stuff. Now, I have to color him!

Thorns
Traveled to that place in the woods that used to have a small waterfall and creek running through the trees. Now, it's all dried up and just kind of gross. Very sad.

On an April Afternoon
I'm actually getting sleep lately. It feels lovely. Doctor Who still going strong - I'm on the fourth season! The fifth season starts tonight. I'm going to get in as much as I can of the fourth, and then read a synopsis of the rest of the episodes I don't get to watch. Super excited about this (you should've seen me when I found out we do, in fact, have BBC America!) Also, should've is, apparently, not a word. Interesting. How about shouldn't've? Ah. That one also.

Shel Silverstein
I dug this out of a drawer. It's just a free-hand sketch of Shel Silverstein's "The Edge of the World". It wasn't colored in the book, so my bias made the girl a ginger. Also, the poem was handwritten previously, but I found it hard to read so I made it script. Still watching Doctor Who. "Blink" is the downright scariest thing I've ever watched!

Dr. Who?
Today has been a rather productive day - mostly taking care of the animals to keep away caring for myself. And also a whole season of Dr. Who. In this particular episode, Giles from Buffy is eating students. Nom nom nom.

Wench!
One of my more favorite drawings I've done. Sure, she's unnaturally skinny, her fingers suck, and she's got a fencing sword. Look beneath the imperfections. ;D Arrrr.

Glee!
Glee's back on and I'm so excited! Now I've got something to look forward to on Tuesdays. That's so sad...

will grayson, will grayson
Received John Green and David Levithan's new book in the mail yesterday, so I'm putting HP number 4 on hold. Not a big fan of will grayson, but Will Grayson is amazing. And Tiny, of course.
Happy fake birthday to me.

[Edit 05-19-10: Apparently my fake birthday is April 10th. Figures I should forget it.]

Vagabonds
Today, I got a haircut, went to Best Buy and picked up The Classic Crime's new CD "Vagabonds." It's phenomenal, of course, though I'm still biased towards their first CD, "Albatross". Favorite song since before it even came out: "Solar-Powered Life" (See Blogger from a couple days ago for lyrics!) Then, I played another epic game of Killer Bunnies, but lost. :(

Beauty Breathes
Today was wonderful outside (74 and sunny!) so Mom, Hannah, and I took a walk down to the pond. The fish trees are in bloom!
Nature's weapon.
Mom loves these.
We've got ants that have infested our lawn. They're pretty awesome.
I love the trees in our backyard.
Our neighbors have an awesome garden.
Our plum tree doesn't stay in bloom for very long at all.
I love the bokeh in this.

What A Beautiful Day
She's got a solar powered life
She dies without direct sunlight
But every morning in the spring
She wakes up early
And this is what she sings
My oh my what a beautiful day outside
Hey hey what a beautiful day
My oh my what a beautiful day outside
Hey hey what a beautiful day
Yeah
My baby gets depressed at night
All hope is gone with the twilight
But every morning after dawn
She sings to me
And this is her love song
My oh my what a beautiful day outside
Hey hey what a beautiful day
My oh my what a beautiful day outside (beautiful day)
Hey hey what a beautiful day
Yeah
I give you everything you need
I give vacations by the sea
If that's what you need girl
I give you everything you want
Sitting sipping smoothies with your sunglasses on
My oh my what a beautiful day outside (beautiful day)
Hey hey what a beautiful day (beautiful day)
